BENGALURU: The man accused of assaulting a woman at an ATM kiosk in the city in 2013 was handed over to police custody by the local court till March 14, here on Tuesday.
On November 19, 2013, Madhukar Reddy attacked bank employee Jyothi Uday with a machete inside an ATM kiosk in NR Square and robbed.
SJ Park police, who produced Reddy before the 6th ACMM Court, requested the court for 14 days of custody but the court allowed custody for eight days. A police source said, “Halasuru Gate Assistant Commissioner of Police Thammaiah, who is heading the probe, will take the accused to the spot where he attacked Jyothi and the latter will have to identify Madhukar during the identification parade.” He was recently brought to the city from Andhra Pradesh.
