Victim identifies ATM attacker

Jyothi Uday, the victim of the 2013 ATM assault case, identified the attacker in Parappana Agrahara prison on Friday.

BENGALURU: Jyothi Uday, the victim of the 2013 ATM assault case, identified the attacker in Parappana Agrahara prison on Friday.
Manjunath B R, North additional taluk tasildhar, confirmed the identification parade that took place between 3.25pm and 4.25pm on Friday.
Manjunath said, “As per the court directions, the identification parade happened on Friday. Jyothi attended the parade to identify the attacker.”

A police source said, “As per the law, we lined up five people matching similar description — age, body dimensions of Madhukar Reddy (including Reddy). The five people walked in separately into the premises where the parade was taking place. Jyothi was then asked to go around and identify the accused.”
Manjunath said, “According to the protocol, we are not supposed to share the information on a public domain. Jyothi’s identification answer has been sent to court in a sealed cover.”
On November 19, 2013 around 7am Jyothi Uday, a corporation bank employee, was attacked by a man inside an ATM kiosk near Hudson Circle.
