Nelamangala train service to be stopped temporarily

This follows the inauguration of the new shortened rail line to Hassan from Yesvantpur.

BENGALURU: The services of a rail bus and a passenger train between Bengaluru and Nelamangala will be temporarily suspended from Ugadi Day following the announcement made by Railways on Sunday that the Mysuru-Hassan-Shravanabelegola Passenger will be extended to Yesvantpur. This follows the inauguration of the new shortened rail line to Hassan from Yesvantpur.

The services of Bengaluru-Nelamangala-Bengaluru Passenger (Train no 56579/56580) and the rail bus Yesvantpur-Nelamangala-Yesvantpur (Train no. 76521/765) will be suspended.

A press release on Monday gave a detailed break-up of stoppages at each of the stations: Mysuru departure 8.30 am; Hassan arr/dep: 11.15 am/11.20 am; Sharavanabelegola arr/dep: 12.05/12.06 pm; arrival at Yesvantpur 2.45 pm.
