Land dispute sets off chain of complaints in Bengaluru

A police official said a woman had filed a complaint against the tahsildar, BBMP officials and the police lodged another complaint against her for filing false complaints.

BENGALURU: A complaint was registered against the Inspector of Banaswadi Police Station and 18 others on charges of forgery of land documents and threatening a lawyer to vacate the site.

The complaint was registered at the Banaswadi police station after a local court had referred the case to them.

According to a senior police official, the victim, a lawyer, is a resident of Nagannapalya in Banaswadi.

As per the complaint she had filed at the local court, the inspector, Munikrishna, and others had forged the documents of a plot of land and threatened her of consequences if she didn’t vacate the place. The woman had refused to heed to them.

It was later found that a case had been lodged against the woman regarding the land by another person. A police official said, “The court had summoned her thrice but she failed to turn up. The court issued an arrest warrant against her.”
