BENGALURU: More rain is again forecast for Bengaluru and other parts of interior Karnataka region. This is due to a low pressure area with cyclonic circulation in the Bay of Bengal, which is likely to concentrate into a depression in the next 24 hours. This is expected to cause widespread rainfall, especially in parts of South and North Interior Karnataka regions.Overcast skies are likely to persist for the next three days till the depression hits the coasts of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha around October 19.

Indian Meteorological Department, Bengaluru, said thundershowers were likely in parts of South and North Interior Karnataka, with light to moderate rains. Isolated places might also get heavy showers.
While IMD forecasts on Sunday had hinted at better weather conditions in Bengaluru and other parts of South Interior Karnataka — which were battered by heavy  showers — more rainfall forecast for the region is expected to hit daily life. Speaking to Express, SSM Gavaskar, scientist at Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Cell, said that overcast conditions due to the effect of the depression in Bay of Bengal would reduce in the next two or three days.
