BENGALURU: Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) has decided not to conduct re-examination for the subject of which the question paper was allegedly leaked recently.

According to VTU officials, the IT team of the university has submitted a report saying it was a fake question paper created by some miscreants. However, university has constituted a committee to inquire into the issue to know the source of such malpractice. “It is not the first time it is happening. There were instances in the past where circulars were faked by students. This time we would like to know those who are behind such mischief,” an official said.

On Friday, many students who had attempted the Mathematics II (repeaters paper) paper scheduled on Thursday alleged that the paper was circulated on social media. According to students, the paper was leaked at 10am. The WhatsApp messages of the leaked paper started making rounds starting from 9am.
