Meanwhile, the Madanayakanahalli police arrested the 26-year-old accused Rangachari, a resident of Chikkabidarakallu, on charges of negligent conduct with respect to an animal (section 289 of the Indian Penal Code), trespassing and for voluntarily hurting another person.A senior police officer said the incident took place at 6 pm when Rangachari had come to the travel agency — belonging to one Goutham Chand Jain — and demanded money from him.

Jain has taken on rent a building belonging to Rangachari’s grandfather and had been paying rent to Rangachari’s siblings. The duo were quarrelling over the rent when Jain’s employee Singh intervened. It was then Rangachari unleashed his Doberman on Singh.

The dog repeatedly gnawed at Singh’s hands and ripped off his skin.
