Out of jail for 3 hours, 20-year old arrested again

BENGALURU: A 20-year-old robber who was out on bail from the Central Prison on Monday evening, soon returned to police custody within hours. His eagerness to commit another robbery led to an accident, resulting in his arrest within three hours. 

A senior police officer from Girinagar police station said that the accused Sridhar was released on bail from Parappana Agrahara Central Prison on Monday and his associates had come to take him to Outer Ring Road near Hosakerehalli. Sridhar planned to rob a chain but luck wasn’t in his favour. While escaping on a bike, he crashed into another bike and the night beat police who saw this, caught him red-handed.

“Sridhar, a habitual offender was arrested by Subramanyapura police  charges of robbery and dacoity case. He was remanded to judicial custody four months ago. Around 8.30 pm, his associates had come on two bikes and took him along to commit a robbery.

Basavaraj, a private company employee, who came out to dump garbage, was targeted by Sridhar and robbed of his gold chain on knife point. While escaping, he hit a biker Deekshith, who was injured and was shifted to a private hospital. Based on a complaint by Basavaraj, further investigations are on”, the officer added.
