ADVENTNET bagged the prestigious SMOT Cricket Mania 2008 Trophy, that was held at the Anna University Grounds, in which corporate teams contested in a fast track knockout format. Eight teams qualified to the Quarter Finals and the team that made it finally was AdventNet.
With the SMOT Cricket Mania 2008 Trophy, AdventNet has also bagged a prize money of Rs 1 lakh by being the most consistent performer. A consolation to Covansys though was that The Fitment of the series (Man of the Series) was awarded to its member Venkatachalam.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Narasimhan, Director, SMOT, said “SMOT Cricket Mania wanted to be the outlet to the working community who also have a passion for cricket. The response was overwhelming and the energy on the ground was equally infectious. SMOT Cricket Mania will definitely see another edition very soon.”
The trophy for the best cheering team was won by Citi Technologies while Coromandel InfoTech India ltd bagged the trophy for the best cheering slogan.
