CHENNAI: A scintillating fashion show marked the opening of Chennai’s first exclusively organic spa, with party-goers getting a chance to sample some of the luxury spa treatments on offer.
Hosted by renowned model and VJ, Paloma Rao, the opulent rooftop lounge at Le Waterina Hotel was the perfect setting to launch the Eminence Ananta luxury spa line.
All the treatments use organic only products, and beautician Dr Jyoti was keen to highlight the benefits of using these types of products over chemically produced treatments.
“Chemical products have a lot of side effects that you won’t get if you use our organic only products. They are much healthier and help with the rejuvenation of the skin,”she says.
The organic only products use natural ingredients such as strawberries, chocolate and even paprika, according to Dr Jyoti.
“We tailor every treatment to the skin condition of the customer, so every treatment is unique whether it is a facial or a skin lightening treatment. It is better than using chemicals,” asserts Dr Jyoti.
All the products used in the spa treatments are sourced from Hungary, an area that is known for its excellent organic produce. Dr Jyoti explains: “The products use thermal spring water, and are grown in an area where the soil has been infused with minerals from volcanic activity. They are all handmade, and we order them freshly every three months so that we are only using the freshest items.”
Prices range from Rs 1,500 for a mini facial to Rs 3,500 for a complete treatment. Some of the exclusive treatments they offer include a chocolate facial and a paprika infused exfoliating scrub.
Marking the opening of Eminence Ananta was a high-end fashion show, choreographed by Paris-based fashion director Karun Raman.
The show featured a charming blend of beach and evening wear for men and women, and was headlined by model Bruna Abdulah.
