'Help us find our Tootsie'

Worried over their pet dog which had gone missing, a city-based couple have announced a ‘handsome reward’ for anyone helping them to trace it.

Nanditha Krishna and S Chinny Krishna, residents of Alwarpet, have put up posters with the picture of their pet dog Tootsie, across their neighbourhood, in a desperate bid to trace the missing pet. The posters promise a ‘handsome reward’ for the finder.

“Tootsie has been with us for the last eight years and is close to everyone in our family. All of us are sad since she has gone missing. We have put up posters with our contact details at all shops in Alwarpet, Mylapore and T Nagar so that anyone who sees her can inform us,” said Nanditha, who is the director of the C P Ramaswami Aiyar Foundation. She said all her family members were animal lovers. Her husband Chinny Krishna is the chairman of Blue Cross.

Nanditha said that Tootsie went missing on Sunday night when she was left in the veranda of her house before the weather turned turbulent.

“She was sleeping on the veranda on the first floor and the door was locked as usual. I did not expect that it would rain that night. But there were heavy rains and lighting by midnight. Panicked, Tootsie jumped on top of the adjoining hut and entered the road. As Tootsie has never ventured out, she does not know the place and must have got lost. I will be very thankful to anyone who helps us get back Tootsie,” Nanditha said.
