Karma is always waiting to manifest itself and expresses itself through all possible ways - through dreams and also in thoughts. An ignorant man is always caught in a conflict with them. His personality is an eternal ground for conflict.
Such people resist the presence of the Guru as their false beliefs, pretence and attributes stands exposed. Man himself is responsible for such fears, as he has accumulated the burden of Karma. A man who is free of such thoughts is never scared of meeting the Guru.
Internal fear couples with ignorance and becomes a malady of the mind. Man is caught in such trappings of life as wealth, fame, position, success and the like. He should first escape them. He can achieve this only in the presence of God and the Guru. This is where the Guru becomes indispensable. While many good thoughts may appear in the mind of the man, it is only with the assistance of the Guru that it can be transformed into action. But a mind dominated by conceit can never understand the utility of a Guru.
True love God always exists in the form of love. Man is nothing but a manifestation of this divine love. Self-enquiry is nothing but a test of this divine love within oneself. This is Sadhana.
You can never examine how much love is filled in another person. Such a futile and meaningless pursuit begins only when you fail to enjoy the love in you. You are love. If you live by this love, life is relieved of problems. If you have even an iota of love in you, you are blessed and you can understand that God resides in you.
There is no false love in this world. You should ask yourself whether you have love in you. You have either experienced love or not. There is no question of an in-between state. If you have love in you, feel that love and enjoy it for it is God’s gift to you.
This is the start of the process of self-realisation. Sometimes, you are overcome with arrogance and wonder if love is still there in you. This is when you turn towards God.
Love should not be equaled to the emotion that binds two people. Love is always independent of relationship. It does not exist for a particular reason or cause. It is independent of aspirations or expectations. But ignorant people who do not have love within them clamour for love everyday. They are caught in a mesh of relationships and they try to realize love through these relationships.
In the long run, such a philistine understanding of love can even ruin relationships. When any doubt arises about love, it is better to question yourself inward. Do I have love within me? Can I love others unconditionally?
Love should flow freely towards all and not towards only a selected few. If love is targeted only towards few, it is only attachment. Such an attachment is not love but a cheap imitation of it. There are no testimonials or degrees to prove the existence of love. Love is complete and holistic. It can either exist totally or does not exist at all.
