Two colleges lose MCI nod

Two prominent private medical colleges have lost their Medical Council of India (MCI) approval for the intake of students for the present academic year. According to the minutes of a meeting of the board of governors of the Medical Council of India held on Thursday, Madha Medical

College, in Chennai, had their requisition for intake of 150 students for the current year disapproved. Earlier this week, Chennai Medical College and Research Institute, in Tiruchy, had been denied approval because of the non-availability of hostels for interns.
