Auctioning art for charity

ICWO, an NGO,  has created a programme  titled ‘Auction for Action’ as part of its fundraising efforts.

ICWO, an NGO,  has created a programme  titled ‘Auction for Action’ as part of its fundraising efforts.

The programme invites artists to donate their paintings for a noble cause that ensures education for the underpriveleged.  The funds collected through these paintings will be deposited in the bank and the interest accrued will be utilised for health and education suppport for several marginalised children in the city.

In response to the call for action, several leading artists have donated their valuable paintings to ICWO.

The NGO has been working on various developmental initiatives for the past 19 years in Chennai.

The donors include International renowned artist Chelian, Henry Daniel, a veteran artist, Vandhana Jain and A P Pannerselvam.

While the programme is still on, A J Hariharan, secretary, ICWO, thanked all those who contributed and requested more artists to contribute.
