The very popular Mind, Body and Soul Night, featuring hits from yesteryear Tamil movies, completed 200 weeks at The Black and White Resto Bar at The Residency last week.
The event, which happens every Thursday at the pub, bought in the timeless classics of Illayaraja on minus one track and has M J Shriram doing the voice of Shri S P Balasubramaniam. Fifty plus songs nonstop performed by M J Shriram and co singers (Akhila Chandran Iyer and Thillaka) has had fans thronging to get in the best seats in the house, hours.
The 200th edition of the show saw celebrities like Mani Ratnam and Suhasini Mani Ratnam, Parthiban, Vivek, Sneha and Prasanna among others. Renowned singers like Usha Uthup, Mano and SPB Cheran were also present, making the evening a lovely mix of yesteryear music and the present era's glamour.
