The inaugural function of the I B Tech and B Arch programmes was held recently at the TRP Auditorium, Ramapuram campus premises. The programme commenced with a prayer followed by the lighting of the traditional lamp by dignitaries, parents and some of the freshers. The Dean, Dr Abdul Ghani, extended a warm welcome to the freshers, parents and all the invitees to the inauguration. He stressed the need for self discipline and regularity to become commendable citizens of the country. Dr C Muthamizhchelvan, Director (E&T), SRM University, spoke on the Engineering and Technology stream focusing on the curriculum. He emphasised on bridging the gap between institution and industry.
