Moplah food festival

Offering dishes such as Arikadukka (Mussels stuffed with seasoned rice), Pathiri, Meen Mulakittathu (Seer cubes simmered in red chilli tamarind gravy) and Unnakkai (Cotton pod shaped delicacy dessert served with Nendran bananas), the ‘Moplah Food Festival’ , which is being being hosted by  Ente Keralam, a well-known Kerala cuisine restaurant, is set to serve the foodies till June 9.

 The festival is being anchored by Ummi Abdulla, who has to her credit six books, including Malabar Muslim Cookery, also known as ‘The Bible of Moplah (Muslim in Malayalam) Cuisine’.

The menu includes a variety of traditional refreshments like Sherbets, and dishes such as Arikadukka, Chemmeen Unda, Briyani, breads like the Nei Pathiri, and desserts made of Nendran bananas and coconut mixture.
