It’s time to catch that nasty fever so early!

Apollo First Med Hospitals launched Chennai’s first-ever advance fever clinic in the city on Friday in the presence of  Preetha Reddy, managing director of Apollo Hospitals.

Apollo First Med Hospitals launched Chennai’s first-ever advance fever clinic in the city on Friday in the presence of  Preetha Reddy, managing director of Apollo Hospitals. The clinic will offer advanced diagnostics and faster recovery for Fever of Unknown Origins (FUO) that is one of the most common and difficult diagnostic problems faced by clinicians in India today.

Dr T V Devarajan, Senior Consultant Physician at Apollo First Med Hospitals said, “This clinic would adopt a multi-pronged approach for complex FUOs. The patient would be treated by infectious diseases experts in association with hematologists, nephrologists, gastroenterologists, physicians, oncologists and pulmonologists depending on the need of the hour.”

Commenting on the initiative Preetha Reddy said, “With the launch of the advance fever clinic, we are hopeful that we can contribute to reducing unnecessary suffering due to FUO and provide the right diagnosis and expert medical care at the right time for people in India.”

Dr Sathyabhama, DMS, Apollo Hospitals who also presided over the meeting, said that fever should not be treated lightly.

 Apollo Hospitals is celebrating 30 years of giving quality healthcare to patients in India and according to Reddy, this initiative is a way of giving back to patients who have trusted them for 30 years. A book titled “Medical Advice for Healthy Life” penned by Dr T V Devarajan was released by Preetha Reddy during the event andDr Sathyabhama received the first copy.

The Advance Fever Clinic will function from the Apollo First Med Hospital located on Poonamalle High Road.
