In view of Onam festival, September 16 (Monday) will be a local holiday in Chennai district.
In lieu of of this, September 28 (Saturday) will be a working day for government offices and educational institutions in the district, an official release here said on Tuesday.
However, the District Treasury and Sub Treasury offices in Chennai district will function on September 16 with drafted staff for the convenience of the public.
