CHENNAI: American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) and the National Productivity Council (NPC), Government of India, will conduct a workshop on Connected Thinking in Core Engineering at the Centre of Excellence for Training in Energy Efficiency (CETEE), a state-of-the-art facility, on July 4 on the NPC campus at 10 am.
The workshop will focus on the ability of engineering professionals to link both theoretical and practical skills. A job-oriented and practical five-day certificate course has been designed for pre-final year and final year students from the mechanical, electrical and instrumentation departments and the aim is to certify over 1000 students for the academic year 2014-15.
Delivered through a combination of case studies and practical training models, the course will be delivered by NPC’s industry experts and supported by industry practitioners from AMCHAM’s member companies. Select CEOs, directors and principals from leading engineering colleges and senior leaders from AMCHAM member companies, the American Consulate, NPC, the Bureau of Energy Efficiency and Deloitte have been invited to participate. The workshop will serve as a forum for discussion on the expected course objectives and content.
