After sharing a grammy with AR Rahman and walking the red carpet, you would think that Tanvi Shah is over her stage fright by now. But the Chennai-based singer who released her first English single online a couple of days ago, confessed that facing the camera was 'crazy scary.' In fact, she admits with a laugh, "I think that's what took us a whole six months to get this video out in the first place!" The song, Call it Love, is the English version of her previously released Spanish song Llamalo Amor that was released in June last year. And if you haven't seen it already, it features a smokin' hot Tanvi immersed waist deep in the ocean, doing a little bit of belly dancing! If that's not enough to hook you, she's even got a French model love interest in the video.

"Ooh the boy bits were particularly difficult," Tanvi says laughing, "I would keep hearing them say, 'just one more shot, just more shot... " Incidentally, all of this happened in Los Angeles with music producer JHawk and lyricists, Erica Roger and James Auger. And we're guessing the Jai Ho girl is going to spending quite a lot of time shuttling from home in Chennai to LA, now that she has an international team set up."I do have some unplugged shows in the works for later this year, in Dubai and LA, but I'm superstitious so I'm not giving out any details just yet," she insists.

When she's not working though, it turns out Tanvi's found a new love. "I just started surfing about two months ago," she tells us, clearly having forgotten her camera woes now. With the Kovalam Beach fairly close to her home, the singer also an avid fitness junkie tries to hit the waves every day. Surprisingly, she shares it been great for her creative process as an artist as well. "I just go out into the middle of the ocean and sit there on my surf board, and mind... starts creating." she confides. Thanks to her early morning surf sessions, the singer lets on she already has a new tune she's working on.

"But first," she states, almost wanting not to say it, "I'm going to have to shoot my second video. This one will be for a song of hers titled, 'Meant to Be' that is already out on iTunes. And she offers with a smile, "Hopefully I won't take six months to finish this one!"
