IKAT Art Mela till December 14

CHENNAI: Pochampally IKAT Art Mela-2014, was inaugurated by Kollywood actor Sakshi Agarwal at CP Art Centre on Friday. The 10-day expo will have handloom products like handmade bed cloth, home linen, and dress materials including silk and cotton dupattas, kurits, shirts, saris besides table mats, stoles, scarves, cushion covers, hand bags and apparels by the renowned textile designers and weavers of Pochampally. “It’s glad to see various apparel, particularly designer fabrics, silk and cotton saris, being showcased for the fashion connoisseurs. Platforms such as this are required to reach out women looking for well-designed handmade stuff,” said Sakshi. The exhibition will be on till December 14.
