CHENNAI: The Woolmark Collection by Rahul Mishra, titled The Lotus Effect, uses Merino Wool, which is a natural, biodegradable and renewable fiber. “I have always been fascinated by wool. Not just because it is an eco-friendly fiber and textile, but because it traverses the divide between the rural and urban.” The collection, according to the designer, represents purity of lotus. For the collection, the wool has been acquired with the help of rural weavers of Chanderi and craftsmen from Kolkata and Bhuj.
The collection will be on display at Evoluzione, Khader Nawaz Khan Road, on Wednesday.
