Ved Prakash, Jay Sparkle on Day Two

CHENNAI: Day two of the Elite Super Sixes indoor cricket tournament presented by Bathcaff and co-sponsored by Jineshwar Capitals and Infra Venture at Netzz Cricket, on the roof top of Citi Centre, saw an exciting array of matches, while also witnessing the first loss for the RYA Metro team. Metro, who had won all four of their previous matches, lost their only match of the tournament. Despite easing past opponents RCC Diva in the first tie, thanks to a blazing half-century by the left-handed Lalit Munoth and some excellent bowling by player of the match Anchit Mehta, Metro fell to the same team in the second tie. There was some inspired bowling and an all-round show by Ved Prakash Sharma took the Divas home. Siddharth Sonthalia was the man of match in the game between RYA Cosmo Elite and RCC Platinum. In the last match of the day, RCC Magnum’s Jay Ranka became the first bowler to take a hat-trick in this edition. His team recorded their first win after three consecutive losses.
