CHENNAI: The English department of DRBCCC Hindu College organised a Faculty Development Programme on ‘The Technicalities of Spoken and Written Skills’on July 3 and 4. A Devaraj, Associate Professor in English, Loyola College, and Prof Geetha Selvakumar, Head, Dept of English, Ethiraj College were the chief guests for the inauguration and valediction respectively. Almost 20 English professors from ten colleges across the city participated in the workshop. The workshop aimed at guiding the participants on learning techniques and various approaches to teach grammar and phonetics and on getting access to materials. S Kalpana Bai, the principal, presided over the event.
