New basketball court inaugurated at Sevalaya

CHENNAI: A basketball court was inaugurated at Sevalaya’s Mahakavi Bharathiyar Higher Secondary School recently.

The basketball court, sponsored by Madras Metro Round Table 95 and Madras Metro Ladies Circle 70, was inaugurated in the presence of Sriram Duvvrri, vice chairman, area 2, RTI 2013 – 14, and KajalChhabria, national co-opt treasurer, area 2, project convener, LC India 2013 -14.

Speaking on the occasion, chairman of MMRT 95 team Sachin Chhabria, thanked the Sevalaya management for extending a wonderful opportunity to serve the needy. 

He insisted that the students should utilise this opportunity to win the State-level competitions.

Also present was VimalDhiran, project convener, MMRT 95.

The children of Sevalaya have won prizes in handball, badminton, throwball at the zonal and district levels.

Also, the students have won many basketball tournaments without a proper court to practice.
