Gear up for Tamil Drama Fest Next Week

CHENNAI: Mudhra’s Drama Festival Nataka Rathinangal will commence on June 8 at 5.30 pm, at Infosys Hall, Ramakrishna Mission School, Habibullah Road, T Nagar.

Mouli, director-actor-playwright will inaugurate and present ‘Nataka Mudhra Award’ to AR Srinivasan for his outstanding contribution to stage dramas, teleserials and cinema. Dr Nalli Kuppuswami Chetti will preside over the function and present the Best Drama Award 2013 to Stage Friends’ ‘Thanneer Thanneer’ by Komal Swaminathan, which was selected in an audience poll last year. Former Doordarshan director A Natarajan will honour the awardees.

The award ceremony will be followed by a series of dramas, which will be held for a week.
