The Madras High Court on Wednesday restrained the Registrar of Tamil Nadu Homeopathy Medical Council from holding the post as the government did not approve his appointment.

CHENNAI: The Madras High Court on Wednesday restrained the Registrar of Tamil Nadu Homeopathy Medical Council from holding the post as the government did not approve his appointment. Justice S Nagamuthu ruled that K Chithiraikkannu cannot act as Registrar since no approval has been accorded by the government in terms of section 14 (1) (C) of Tamil Nadu Homeopathy System of Medicine and Practitioners of Homeopathy Act while deciding a writ petition filed by R Gnanasambandam, former President of TNHMC.
