Shiva says — “You are not ordinary, you are an awakened and a realised being, but you don’t know it. Come out of your comfort zone. You are happy in your small world, you are not willing or wanting to improve or change. Be willing to drop off all your negative traits. Just state your intent to the guru. Know that you are precious and auspicious.”
Respect and value the guru as your soul, give value to your self. Ignore other people’s ignorance. Don’t get upset or comment when ignorant people talk about you, your guru or anything related to your soul or spirituality. At the same time acknowledge and accept the knowledge in others, without being contemptuous or arrogant.
When you calmly hear what ignorant people say, without reacting, you will be immune to people’s criticisms and praises. This is spiritual immunity. Then your karma will not bear fruit, there will be no doshas or obstacles.
Spiritual immunity protects you from all kinds of negative people and negative vibrations. Spiritual immunity gives you emotional stability and self confidence. You will be able to come out of negative qualities easily. You will get control over your mind. You will establish the fact that you have the potential to become a guru yourself.
The gopikas were in this state. Whatever they did, they didn’t have any karmas attached to them because every moment was Krishna’s moment for them. They had transcended dharma and karma. For them everything was Krishna – Sarvam Krishnamayam.
When we get too involved in the materialistic world, our very base becomes destabilised. Lord Shiva says, “Make the guru your base, blend the guru principle in you.”
Just as mango pulp blends with the milk when you make mango milk shake, you too should blend the guru principle in you. You will become powerful and you will be remembered for the principles you have set.
Then, you should also invoke the grace of the saptarishis or the seven holy sages. Everything is interconnected.
Whenever you sing the glory of the guru, you are singing the glory of saptarishis as well as the glory of lord Shiva himself.
Why do we need the grace of the saptarishis? We need the anugraha (grace) of the saptarishis to remove all our negative blocks and we seek their grace for doing our sadhana. Basically, saptarishis increase our taposhakti or our drive to do sadhana. We need their grace to expand our mental base and combine it with feelings of the heart, which forms the basis of guru bhakti.
Guru bhakti is as powerful as the trident of lord Shiva. Saptarishis, too will not give their grace directly to us, it is routed through the guru only. Spiritual protocol is followed. Guru presents our application to the saptarishis and they in turn bless us through the guru himself. So, the guru is the one-way route to attain the grace of saptarishis for our sadhana, which in turn takes us towards attaining the state of infinite Shiva himself. This is the powerful force of nirvana.
