990 Receive Certificates at RMK College's Graduation Day

CHENNAI:The 16th Graduation Day of RMK Engineering College was  held recently.  Sriram Rajagopal, vice-president, Human Resources, Cognizant Technology Solutions, delivered the convocation address and presented degree certificates to 990 graduates.

Cash awards of Rs 50 lakh were given to university rank holders and academic prize winners among the under-graduate and post-graduate students of the 2014 batch.

Sriram spoke about the changing technology and how graduands can grow to be highly effective professionals.  He advised the students to think digital and think global, in this age of digital transformation.  RS Munirathinam, founder-chairman, RMK Groupof Institutions, RM Kishore, vice-chairman, RMK Group of Institutions, Yalamanchi Pradeep, secretary, RMK Group of Institutions, and T Pitchandi, IAS (retired), advisor, RMK Group of Institutions, were present among others. The management presented eight gold medals to students with an overall performance and for best academic performance in undergraduate and post graduate programmes.  Forty six 46 scholarships on merit-cum-means basis are given to needy students every year.
