CHENNAI: Chennai Food Guide, which was awarded for the best food community is conducting ‘Farmer’s Market’ at Food Consulate, No 6, Radhamohan Street, Velachery, on May 3 between 8am and 11 am. Farm fresh products from Southern districts of Tamil Nadu will be made available for the people at this event. Homemade condiments like spices, podis, pickles, papads, vadams and paneer, along with an exotic range of fruits and vegetables will be put up for sale. There would also be organic buns and brownies and even varieties of cheese for sale. Regional food specialties such as Koothanallur Parotta and Saalna, Tirunelveli Maasi Sodhi and Maasi Sambal, Srivilliputtur Palgova, Salem Thattuvadai Set and much more will be served in a typical village festive environment. There is also a small area with farm animals for kids called Pet Zoo, where the children can feed the animals.
