Make Christmas a Low Key Affair: Bishop

CHENNAI: Resonating with the appeal of the Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa to celebrate Christmas on a low key, Bishop M Prakash, who is also the chairman, State Minorities Commission, urges Christians to shun an extravagant Christmas. The money saved could be donated to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund, Prakash added.

The Bishop of the Prince of Peace Ministry BA James Santhosham also made a similar appeal to Christians in the State. He organised a meeting on Thursday in MRC Nagar, condoling the death of over 350 persons in the floods and prayed for the betterment of the affected persons.
