Kodambakkam high road diversions
Chennai: Due to works being carfried out by Metro Water, the Traffic Police have announced diversions on Kodambakkam High Road for a few days from sunday. A police press release said MTC buses plying from Kodambakkam bridge to Anna Salai should take right turn at Valluvar Kottam and proceed via Thirumalai Pillai Road and GN Chetty Road to reach Anna Salai.
Fake Revenue Inspector CAUGHT
Villupuram: A conman duping gullible villagers after promising them to arrange flood relief for them in return for a fee was nabbed from a lodge at Gingee town on Saturday. Sources said when the policemen tried to arrest the conman masquerading as a revenue inspector, he reportedly threatened them, claiming he was politically well connected. The number of people he duped was not clear.
