CHENNAI: Fitness One – a fitness and health club gym inaugurated its Ashok Nagar branch on Friday. Walter I Dawaram, former Director General of Police and current president of the Tamil Nadu Athletics Association and former Forest minister K Lawrence presided over the event. “Today, there is a lot of awareness about health and fitness, and Fitness One has been helping people become fit,” said Dawaram.
The two-floor fitness club located above Subway Sandwich Bar, has over 50 fitness equipment, including some imported from other countries. The club already has more than 50 branches across the city and caters to the needs of over a 20,000 people.
“We have a lot of demand from people in this area and received 50 registrations” said Rajesh Vijayakumar, assistant marketing manager of Fitness One. “We have established new ways of training our customers to stay fit. We are also looking at different ways and methods to understand their nutrition and work with them to achieve the targets,” he added.
