Smart Bike Grabs Eyeballs

CHENNAI:An exhibition titled Project Expo 2015 was held at the Sri Muthukumaran Institute of Technology, recently. S Paneer Selvam IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic – West, Chennai, was the chief guest at the event. Out of the 15 projects that were shown to him, two projects — Smart Bike and Self Maneuver of Locker — drew attention.  The project on Smart Bike was developed to support and enhance the safety and security of the rider. The helmet is designed using the concept of radio frequency in such way that the bike cannot be started without the confirmation that the rider of the vehicle wears the helmet. The principal  of the college, RM Suresh,  Veeraragavan, AO, and Janaki, head of the department, were also present at the exhibition.
