Get Spoilt for Choice of Pastas

CHENNAI: Feasting on pastas is always fun. What’s even better is having a menu with five types of pastas. At the ongoing pasta festival at That Madras Place, Adyar, it’s tough too decide which is the best pasta among the lot. They’re all good, in their own way — be it the lemon flavour in the sphagetti with bread crumbs, or the cheddar cheese flavour that one never gets satiated with, even after the third helping. The festival also offered authentic Italian pastas.

The spices, sauces and flavours were in the right proportion. Bits of fried pork in aglio e olio — a type of pasta — transports us to another realm. Admittedly, it is a bit oily and makes it a tad too heavy for kids who’d love the taste.

One thing you might want to do at That Madras Place is try out on the varieties they have to offer. Even if you don’t have a lion’s appetite, the head chef and co-owner, Mathangi Kumar is more than happy to give smaller helpings.

The festival is on till the end of the May.
