Chennai school boy knifed by other students in campus clash

According to the sources, the student was assaulted in the break hour on Wednesday and the victim boy suffered a cut injury caused with a knife on his cheek.

CHENNAI: A class XII student of a government school at Kodambakkam was assaulted with a knife by a group of other students in a clash on Wednesday.

The injured boy's mother has lodged a complaint with the police and only on Friday the students of the same Ganapathy Government Higher Secondary School Kodambakkam clashed in public view in the Arcot Road.

The injured student has told media that a few students in the school were taking drugs and had been demanding money from him. Since he refused to part money on Wednesday, he was attacked.

According to the sources, the student was assaulted in the break hour on Wednesday and the victim boy suffered a cut injury caused with a knife on his cheek.

Speaking to media, the school headmaster Rajasekaran, "Already we suspended two students for three days for the Friday incident (the clash between two groups of students on Kodambakkam High road). For this incident, we have inquired ten students and we will take proper steps."
