CHENNAI: Ravi, the father of Vishnupriya, DSP, Tiruchengode, who allegedly committed suicide in September 2015, called on the DMK president M Karunanidhi on Friday and thanked him for the pressure he exerted for a proper probe into Vishnupriya's death. Only a CBI inquiry would bring out the truth behind his daughter's death, Ravi asserted.
Vishnupriya, the investigation officer for the Dalit engineer Gokulraj's murder case, was found dead in her quarters. The case was transferred to the CBCID. Talking to the media, the DMK treasurer MK Stalin said the case would be transferred to the CBI if DMK came to power.
