CHENNAI: Two persons died in a freak accident at an apartment complex in Kottivakkam on ECR when a man hit a group while reversing his car on Tuesday night.
Four persons were injured in the accident, of which two of them died on Wednesday without responding to treatment.
The victims, Abdul Rahman and Pyarelal were among a group attending a meeting at the parking area in the apartment complex, police said.
The driver of the vehicle, Venkatesh, a bank manager had stepped onto the accelerator instead of applying the brakes, police said. Venkatesh was arrested.
