CHENNAI: Money transfer company Western Union is offering its receivers a chance to win up to `1 lakh every day during the 30 days of Ramadan this year with the launch of ‘30 days of betters’ campaign. The campaign is a community-building exercise that will provide rewards to individuals, so they can perform acts of kindness benefiting individual or society at large.
The programme was launched in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Indonesia and India and will run until Eid-Al-Fitr till early July. During the 30 days of Ramadan, lucky draw winners will identify 30 small yet significant acts of charity that one can do in their individual capacity to bring happiness to one’s lives.
Each money transfer during the campaign (June 6 — July 5) will enable the recipients to enter the daily lucky draws. As many as 30 grand prize winners will each receive 10 times the amount of money received with a maximum amount of `1 lakh, while 756 regular prize winners will get `2,100 each.
