CHENNAI: BIO-DATAS of all 11 members nominated to TN Public Service Commission (TNPSC) will be produced before Madras High Court, Advocate-General AL Somayaji told first bench on Monday.
When the batch of PILs from the DMK, PMK and Puthiya Tamilagam, challenging appointment of the new members, came up before the bench of Chief Justice SK Kaul and Justice R Mahadevan, the AG made the submission.
DMK’s senior counsel P Wilson contended that the new members were not qualified to hold the constitutional posts. They lacked administrative and other skills. The deliberation between the government and the Governor and the procedure of selection, should be placed before the bench.The Supreme Court suggestions were thrown to the winds in the process.
The bench directed all the concerned parties to file a synopsis not more than two pages. The matter would be taken up again on August 4.
