A mobile app for parents to teach English to kids

CHENNAI: Cambridge English Language Assessment has launched an online cum mobile app exclusively for parents of 6-12-year-old children — the Cambridge English Parents Network (CEPN).

The app offers parents the opportunity to access, explore and use the repository of curated learning resources offered by Cambridge English. They can use these resources to help their children in English language and other communication activities. It also provides a networking platform for parents, view and share resources to help children in their learning.

It enables seamless flow of information and becomes a repository of all the past communication and learning resources that can retrieved and reused with convenience. Parents, through this app, can help their children prepare for the Cambridge English: Young Learners test, which is a series of fun, motivating, English language tests aimed at children in primary and lower secondary education. There are three activity-based tests — Starters, Movers and Flyers. This gives students a clear path to improve English. Parents who download the CEPN app will be able to view resources for each of these tests.

Access to Cambridge English Parents Network is through invitation and parents interested to register can give a missed call to 08030636075 or register on www.younglearnersenglish.org.
