CHENNAI: A 25-year old woman was found dead with slit throat in her house on the Ponniyamman Koil Street in Karambakkam near Ramapuram on Friday evening.
Police said K Chitra, a homemaker, was alone with her 11-month-old baby when the incident was reported. Chitra was residing on the first floor of a two-storeyed building. Her husband Kumar had gone for work.
The police are investigating whether it is a case of murder or suicide. However, they confirmed that all valuables in the house were kept intact.
