Graduation Day at Jeppiaar

The 11th graduation day at Jeppiaar Engineering College was presided by Jeppiaar, its founder and chairman. As many as 1,086 graduates of engineering and technology and post graduates of engineering, management studies and computer applications were the recipients of the degree certificates. The students bagged 65 positions of Anna University ranks in various disciplines. The rank holders were honoured with gold coins, awards and certificates.

Hindustan School Celebrates

Hindustan International School celebrated its 2nd annual day on its Guindy campus. Actor Andrea Jeremiah was the chief guest. Anand Jacob Verghese, director and MD of Hindustan group of institutions and chairperson Elizabeth Verghese were present on the occasion. A variety show was presented by 218 children from kindergarten to Grades 1-7 with well-choreographed musicals that showcased art, culture and creativity. Principal Madhusmita Dan read out the annual report highlighting the achievements of the school. 

Inspirational Talk to Students

V Nandakumar, IRS officer, visited Vidhya School, Jalladampet and gave an inspirational talk to the students. One of the toppers of UPSC exam introduced himself as a school dropout and asserted that anything was possible in this world, but requires a lot of determination, concentration and hard work. He motivated students to apply their learning in real life. His speech made students think big and instilled confidence to excel, according to a press release.

Theme Party at Accord Hotels

Accord Hotels Chennai conducted ‘Masquerade in Las Vegas’, a themed party at Hotels Novotel and IBIS Chennai SIPCOT. The party organised for the patrons, celebrities and A-listers of Chennai included international dance acts, live music band, fire juggling and game sessions.  

Award for SA Engineering College

S A Engineering College was awarded the best engineering college with excellent faculty in Tamil Nadu at the Asian Education Summit 2016 organised by World Achievers Foundation in New Delhi. The institution received the award from Minister for Human Resource Development Smriti Irani with other dignitaries. The award was based on the research funding received from various agencies, consultancy works and journal publications by the college faculty.
