CHENNAI: A Chennai-based car racer Feroze Khan was arrested by Bengaluru police on Friday after a court in Karnataka issued a non-bailable warrant against him under various charges, including under the dowry prohibition act.

The court issued the warrants on July 9 against Feroze, 34, his father Ayub Khan and mother Tasneem Ayub who reside at Ekkattuthangal. On April 2016, Bengaluru police had filed charges under 498 (a), 506 IPC and the Dowry Prohibition Act.

Feroze came third in the J K Tyre National Racing Championship, India Junior Touring Car in 2011 and 2012. His father was famous in the racing circuit in the 1980s. Feroze and his father were arrested. His mother was stated to be absconding.
