Return of the E3

CHENNAI: It would be remiss if I didn’t insert a word in about the trailer of Bus Simulator 2018. This time around, the game lets you run your own bus company. The roads and views are spectacular, and it’s even better with the online multiplayer option where you meet other drivers. Now that I’ve alerted you of bus simulator, it’s time to move on to some less important news — E3 2018. Every year, before E3, it is traditional to make accurate predictions. I’ll do the same — but this time, it will be “accurate predictions of what gamers actually want, but won’t get in this year’s E3”.

Another good Call of Duty game: Apart from the recent CoD WW2, the last few games in the series were good only for their multiplayer-maps (which are still no match for battle-royale). Although it would be great to have a fresh new beginning to the franchise and the genre, we’re sure now of another consistent announcement of an unwanted franchise reboot.

A battle-royale better than PUBG: This is close to impossible, of course. And it’s better to have as few modifications to the existing perfect game. But we would enjoy more maps, and longer in game time!
A new Earthbound game: Hardly any Indie favourites make it to the top of any list. Mother 3/Earthbound were one of those rare games that were liked by all. But it’s probably not going to see a sequel…this makes me sadder than the ending of the game.

Proper retro console revival: Speaking of Earthbound, it also makes us wonder if developers would be open to releasing games for predated consoles...you know, like how they still release vinyl CDs for music..
Half-life 3: The franchise was called by the fans for a revive ever since the cliffhanger of the final half-life 2 episode. We’re all still hoping the fictional Valve Corp hasn’t fallen under for it to generate a few more epic games.

Borderlands 3: Maybe 3 isn’t a good number for developers, like how most good TV series get really boring after the fourth season. But they definitely cannot go wrong with a third installment of this co-op and single player campaign game.
