A 30-year-old man was allegedly beaten to death by his wife and her brother in West Delhi's Mayapuri area.

The incident happened last night when Dhirendra Bhadoria, who used to live in Sagarpur area had gone to his in-laws place at Mayapuri, Phase II, police said.

He wanted to persuade his wife Geeta, who was fed up with his drinking habit and had left his home six months ago to stay at her brother Gopal's place, to come back, they said.

When he reached his in-laws place, Gopal did not touch his brother-in-law's feet, which enraged him, a police official said.

Dhirendra, who was suffering from Tuberculosis, allegedly started beating Gopal, which led to a scuffle between the three, he said.

Dhirendra collapsed during the scuffle, which could have led to his death, the official said.

His body bore no external injury marks, he said.
