NEW DELHI: Bike racing allegedly killed a 20-year-old youth in South Delhi area on Sunday morning.

According to the police, they are probing the case and initial investigation revealed that two men with high-end bikes tried to race, resulting in the fatal accident. Cops have registered a case under three IPC sections.

The incident took place in the Qutub Institutional Area of South Delhi. “The accident occurred around 9 am when the two bikers collided head-on. We are probing the case to find out whether the riders were performing stunts,” a senior police official said.

According to the police, one of the riders, Raman (20) from Uttam Nagar, was declared brought dead at Rockland Hospital. The deceased was pursuing a draftsman's course. The other rider, Charles Brian (27), working as the HR Manager in a Gurugram-based company, and Pradeep Nair riding pillion received serious injuries in the incident and were being treated at a hospital. “We are trying to get CCTV footage so that we can understand if they were performing stunts,” the police official added.
