Delhi: St. Stephens announces cut off

A marginal dip of 0.50 percent was observed in the cut-off for the minority St.Stephen's College of Delhi University compared to last year with English still topping the chart.

NEW DELHI: Even as one week is left for the first cutoff of Delhi University (DU) to come out, prestigious St.Stephens College of DU has announced its first cut-off list for the academic session 2017-2018 on Wednesday.

A marginal dip of 0.50 percent was observed in the cut-off for the minority St.Stephen's College of Delhi University compared to last year with English still topping the chart.

The cut-off for this year saw a average marginal dip of about 0.50 percent as compared to last year. Similar to the last year highest cut-off remained that of English at 98.50, though it saw a dip of 0.50 percent compared to last year. Though the cut-off for Economics is similar to that of English it saw a upscale of marginal 0.25 percent compared to last academic year.

The cutoff for History saw a similar dip of 0.25 percent compared to last year and remained at 97.75 percent. Cut-off for Philosophy, Mathematics and B.A.programme remained similar to that of last year at 97 percent. The lowest cut-off was of Sanskrit at 70 percent and it saw a highest dip in percentage of 10 percent. The highest cut-off in science subject was of Physics at 96.66 percent , followed by Chemistry at 96.33 percent followed by B.Sc. programme.

A total of 24168 applications were received by St.Stephen's this year.The list of candidates selected for the Aptitude test and interview will be displayed on 15 June on the college website.

Being a minority institute affiliated to Delhi University (DU) it reserves seats for christian candidates under church of North India, CNI Delhi Diocese, Christain Others, Christian Physically Challenged, Christian Scheduled tribe and even for Urdu candidates.
