MCD polls: Sisodia launches AAP's 'Kejriwal ki Sarkar, Kejriwal ka Parshad' campaign

The BJP has done nothing in the past 15 years in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi and has no vision for the next five years as well, Sisodia told reporters.

NEW DELHI: The Aam Aadmi Party on Tuesday launched the ‘Kejriwal ki Sarkar, Kejriwal ka Paarshad’ campaign. The party, through the campaign, has claimed to implement development work on the ground if voted in power. The AAP leaders said that the Kejriwal government is set to win in MCD but if BJP wins even one seat in Delhi, they will impede development work in their area. They appealed to the people to ensure that the Kejriwal government comes to power in MCD and that their ward councillor only belongs to AAP.

“When you ask people to list out one work of CM Arvind Kejriwal, they point out 10 works of his, but they have absolutely nothing to say for BJP’s 15 years of rule in MCD. AAP talks about its development work while interacting with the public, whereas BJP only has abuses to hurl at AAP and Kejriwal; he has won hearts of people with his work while BJP only spreads hate,” said Deputy CM Manish Sisodia.

He further said, “Our aim is to implement development work on the ground and we are contesting the election on the basis of our success of governance in Delhi government. BJP only knows how to spread hatred and is contesting the election on the basis of that. That is why we have launched this campaign - “Kejriwal ki Sarkar, Kejriwal ka Parshad”. This is being done because there are still a few wards where the BJP has miniscule chance of winning.

He said that people have decided to give a chance to Kejriwal in MCD as well, because when he was given a chance in the city government, he brought remarkable development and made the city a better place to live in. When people gave the responsibility to Delhi, he made world-class schools and hospitals, electricity bills were reduced to zero.

Road transport, water supply and public transport facilities also improved immensely. Whereas, when BJP was given a chance in MCD, they failed to fulfil their most primary and crucial responsibility – of keeping Delhi neat and clean.” The municipal polls for 250 wards will have its votes counted on December 7.
